The championship will feature national body-building athletes eyeing the opportunity to represent the country at the 2023 Pacific Games in Honiara. The XVII Pacific Games 2023 begin from November 19 to December 2.
The weight categories to be competed in include 60kg, 65kg, 70kg, 75kg, 80kg, 85kg, 90kg, 95 kg, and 100kg.

Andrew said that the athletes are looking forward to participating in the championship and, more especially, to registering their names in the final squad to represent the country at the upcoming XVII Pacific Games 2023 (PG2023).
“We will have two of our local females compete in the women’s category (athletics physics) in the championship; one is local female bodybuilder Corina Dettke, who is currently training overseas in Australia, but she has yet to confirm her participation at the championship.
“My message to my athletes is that everyone has to focus, train, and prepare well for the upcoming national championship,” he added.
He also called on the general public to be part of the championship on Friday.
“I would like to thank SINIS Nutrition Department, which has supported the national body-building team in terms of the dietary programs. I also want to thank the National Hosting Authority (NHA) for also supporting the body-building athletes and federation in the upcoming championship,’’ he said.
