FIRST cohorts of the inaugural Solomon Islands National Institute of Sport (SINIS) High-Performance Coach Development Scholarship program has successfully graduated on Friday 26th August 2022.
This was following the completion of the 5-month duration of scholarship across 15 different sports.
The program is a key component of the SINIS Coach Development Strategy. It is delivered in partnership with the National Federations and supports coaches across all National Federations participating in the 2023 Pacific Games.

The coaches were able to embrace a holistic development approach, and understand the Coach Performance Model in High-Performance sports designed to frame the components of critical success in a sport system. It guides behaviours, actions and workflows to facilitate an outcome or performance under a Coach Performance Framework.

Through the program, the coaches access further development opportunities and resources to support in fulfilling their potential to develop as performance coaches, capable of progressing athletes to perform at the elite level.
