As of this Monday, the 20th of the current week, the XVII Pacific Games in Honiara have entered their third day of competition, witnessing Team Solo’s impressive haul of 17 medals.
In the latest medal standings, New Caledonia takes the lead with 23 medals, trailed by the Solomon Islands at 17, Tahiti with 16, and Papua New Guinea (PNG) with 13 medals.
The XVII Pacific Games standings this Monday report Australia with six medals, the Marshall Islands with five, and the Northern Mariana with four. Guam, Samoa, Kiribati, and Nauru each hold three medals, while Fiji and Tonga have two. The Cook Islands and the Federated States of Micronesia each claim one medal.
Notably, the following nations are yet to secure medals, as they haven’t competed: American Samoa, Niue, Norfolk Island, Palau, Tokelau, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, Wallis and Futuna, New Zealand, and Niue.
Team Solo’s 17 medals are attributed to weightlifting and judo, with competitions commencing this week on Monday.

Brown Chester Ramohaka: Weightlifting Clean & Jerk (M) 61 kg, Weightlifting Total (M) 61 kg.
Silver Medalists:
Elizabeth Tengai: Judo Half Heavyweight 70-78kg (F).
Rowena Eddie Donga: Weightlifting Clean & Jerk (F) 49 kg, Weightlifting Total (F) 49 kg.
Lorah Maelosia: Weightlifting Clean & Jerk (F) 55 kg, Weightlifting Snatch (F) 55 kg, Weightlifting Total (F) 55 kg.
Philip Masi: Weightlifting Clean & Jerk (M) 49 kg.
Brown Chester Ramohaka: Weightlifting Snatch (M) 61 kg.
Bronze Medal Outcomes:
Georgina Samo George: Judo Middleweight 57 kg-63 kg (F).
Rowena Eddie Donga: Weightlifting Snatch (F) 49 kg.
Philip Masi: Weightlifting Snatch (M) 49 kg, Weightlifting Total (M) 55 kg.
