Football is the most beloved sport in Solomon Islands.
On April 7th, two Japanese individuals, Sota Higashide and Kanto Yamashita, visited Ambassador HIGUCHI.
Sota, a key player for Solomon Kings FC, is a huge inspiration for young local players. Kanto, working with the Solomon Islands Football Federation (SIFF), coaches the Women’s National Team and the U16 Women’s National Team.
They discussed football environments and youth development between Japan and Solomon Islands, overcoming cultural barriers.
Their shared passion deeply impacts children dreaming of becoming footballers, shining as a bridge of friendship between the two nations.
