THE Solomon Islands National men’s futsal team, Kurukuru will once again represent the country and the Oceania region for the fifth time – this time in Lithuania.
48th ranked Kurukuru boys is currently drawn into a tough pool C along side Thailand ranked 17th, Portugal ranked 5th and Morocco who come 19th in the world futsal ranking.
Kurukuru qualifies for the 2021 Futsal World Cup stage after defeating a very improved New Zealand side in a decider penalty shootout after a draw all (5-5) in New Caledonia.
Solomon Islands Kurukuru will kick off their FIFA world cup campaign against Morocco on September 13th followed by Portugal on September 16th and Thailand on September 19th at the Zalgiris Arena, Kaunas.
