For the first time, a selected national netball training squad got introduced to a High-Performance sporting environment at the Solomon Islands National Institute of Sport (SINIS).
Following a series of preliminary trial selections conducted by the Solomon Islands Netball Federation (SINFED), a 20-member training squad was selected.
Part of the squad came in for their initial High-Performance Athlete Induction today, guided by the Portfolio 2 (Team Sports) staff and interns.
The program will provide sport professional training to aspiring netballers as the federation gets into preparation mode for the 2023 Pacific Games.
The netballers also undergo; Functional Testing, Musculoskeletal Screening, Well-being & Lifestyle Performance assessment and Nutrition, sleep dairy and questionnaires.
The squad is set to increase their court training session starting this Friday 19th 2022 at the SINIS multi-indoor court.
SINIS High-Performance is committed to empowering and assisting the federation in mapping the way forward to climb up the performance pyramid.
