The Solomon Islands national senior women’s football team has left for Papua New Guinea (PNG) to take part in the 4th Melanesian Spearhead Group (MSG) Prime Ministers’ Cup 2025, running from November 10 to 22.
It is a historic moment, as this will be the first time the tournament includes a women’s competition. The Solomon Islands are in Pool B with host PNG Red and Fiji.
The Solomon Islands will play PNG Red on November 13 at 3:00 PM, followed by Fiji on November 16 — both at the PNG Football Stadium in Port Moresby.
Meanwhile, the Solomon Islands men’s team will leave next week for their own MSG Cup campaign, as all matches have been moved to Port Moresby due to venue changes.
