THE University of South Pacific Campus Table Tennis Club in Honiara has officially announced the final names of the selected individuals that will train and prepare to compete at the upcoming Inter Tertiary Games on November 2022.
A training team consists of 20 table tennis players. They were selected after undergoing three weeks of intensive basic table tennis training at the University of South Pacific (USP) Honiara Campus compound at Lawson Tama Stadium.
Honiara Table Tennis Association (HTTA) Technical coach, Kevin Olea confirmed his admiration with the final selection of the talented players.
Olea said that most of the selected players are former students of Chung Wah School since the school has a positive track record of breeding young talented table tennis athletes in the country.
He also congratulated all USP students and staffs who have shown interested in the sport table tennis.
The club are hopeful to select one or two of their players out of the upcoming Inter Tertiary Games on November 2022 that might have the opportunity to team up with other top table tennis athletes to represent the country at the next year’s Pacific Games in Honiara.
The Club’s President, Kuma acknowledged the USP Honiara Campus Director for availing the venue to prepare for the upcoming Inter Tertiary Games this year.

Meanwhile, the USP Honiara Campus Table Tennis Club recently organise a one-day table tennis competition on Saturday, 1 October at the Campus compound at Lawson Tama. The competition featured both men and women single events.
