He also thanked parents, schools, and sports teachers for supporting the event and allowing students to take part. “I would like to thank all parents for allowing their children to participate in this event, and also for all school management and sports masters thank you so much for coming out with each schools, without you this event will not be successful.” The event runs from 7 to 9 April and continues to help build football development in schools across Honiara.
Organisers hope the tournament will continue every year to support young footballers and strengthen the national team in the future across all schools in Solomon Islands nation wide.
