THE 2021 Kula Under-21 youth Cup Christmas tournament has been deferred for January next year 2022.
This was revealed by the Kula spokesman Danny Faalimae in an exclusive interview with raw sport news.
“The Kula U21 youth cup championship has been deferred until weather permits,’’ said Faalimae.
“We cannot out dates as yet but kindly ask all teams in Ngella to keep training. Our confirmation will depend entirely on the weather condition,’’ he said.
“So teams around Ngella are asked to listen out for further update,’’ he said.
Usually according to the spokesman Mr Faalimae a total of 8 teams from the 8 ward in Ngella are expected to participate.
He said that the prizes for the annual competition are as follows:
1st 10,000.
2nd-5000.
3rd-3000 and
4th 2000
He thank Meat Lovers for sponsoring trophy for the competition and Solomon ports for sponsoring gold, silver and bronze medals.
“Last year was soccer, this year round we want to introduce Athletics, Netball, volley ball, table tennis and weightlifting and maybe futsal,’’ he stated.
“We usually held the competition 1st week of December however due to the bad weather we are looking at early January 2022,’’ he said.
However he said it depend entirely on technical preparations and availability because in the provincial centres sometimes technical people are hard to get in touch with.
In the meantime he called on all team within the 8 wards to continue with trainings and listen out for further update for the tournament.
