SOLO, the 17th Sol2023 Pacific Games Mascot will begin it’s 2023 Tour on 18 January beginning in West and East Are’are to Small Malaita communities.
A statement from the PG2023 Games Organsing committee (GOC) confirmed to RAWSPORT on Wednesday 11th this week.
“SOLO will be visiting schools, churches and communities in East Are’ are, West Are’are and Small Malaita,” the statement confirmed.
The communities that is on schedule to be visited in West Are’are are,
▪︎ Hauhui/ Kiu – 19/01/2023
▪︎ Waisisi/ Wairokai – 20/01/2023
▪︎ Aiarai/ Pipisu – 21/01/2023
▪︎ Uhu – on 22/01/2023.
In small Malaita, Solo, the mascot will visit,
▪︎ Afio on 22/01/2023,
▪︎ Riverside 23/01/2023
▪︎ Sarawasi/Haunasi( Elliote) 24/01/2023
▪︎ Tarapaina 25/01/2023
▪︎ Tawaro ( walande) 30/01/2023
▪︎ Rone/Roapu 31/01/2023
▪︎ Sa’a/ Weihi 1st/ 02/2023
▪︎ Liwe/ Rokera 2/02/2023.
According to the schedule, the East Are’are communities to be visited includes,
▪︎ Hananawa/Hauteha 26/01/2023
▪︎ Tawanaora/Masupa 27/01/2023
▪︎ Honoa/Raeao 28/01/2023
▪︎ Manawai on 29/01/2023.
GOC added that the visit is mainly to enhance the people’s understanding about the Sol2023 pacific games this year.
The GOC statement further added that there are two province which are yet to visit namely Malaita and Temotu Province before wrapping up the Mascot Tour for this year.
SOLO the mascot will also visit Auki in Malaita province and other parts of the Island in the coming months.
“We will have another visit for Auki and other Parts of Malaita in the coming months, hence we would like to advice people to follow us on our Facebook page to get more updates on Solo and the Games preparation,” the statement said.
