THE Prime Minister and Minister responsible for the 2023 Pacific Games, Hon. Manasseh Sogavare MP, launched the 2023 Pacific Games tickets today.
Launching the tickets at Our Telekom’s Point Cruz Office, Prime Minister Sogavare said the XVII chapter of the Pacific Games is coming to our shores in a few weeks. He encourages Solomon Islanders to purchase their tickets and support PG 2023.
The Prime Minister was also the first customer to procure tickets to watch the games.
“I am so happy to be the first customer to acquire tickets for the opening ceremony, the two-week games, and the closing ceremony. I encourage all Solomon Islanders to purchase their tickets to watch the games and support our fellow athletes.”
The Prime Minister adds that the tickets he bought today will be donated.
Interested members of the public can purchase their tickets at Our Telekom and other partners by mid-week.
Our Telekom, the leading telecommunications provider in the Solomon Islands, is a Presenting Partner and Exclusive Opening Ceremony Partner with GOC for the 2023 Pacific Games.
Likewise, with the exception of the opening and closing ceremonies, which require separate tickets, you can buy a package ticket for $1000 that allows entrance to all competition venues for the duration of the two-week competition.
The sports sitting ticket-pass costs only $500 and grants access to all events taking place in Sports City for the duration of the two-week competition, with the exception of the opening and closing ceremonies, which may also be witnessed separately.
For the opening ceremony and opening of Sports City, which is located at the National Stadium, tickets are only $200 and valid for one day.
Tickets for the finals inside the Sports City, including the women’s football final, were only $100 on “Fantastic Friday,” the competition’s last Friday.
The organisers dubbed the final Saturday of the competition “Super Saturday,” and on that day, tickets for the final games, which will take place at Sports City and include the men’s football final, were also $100.
For only $30 SBD each day, you can watch any sport at any location where a competition is taking place, including Maranatha Hall, SIFF Academy, Sport City, and Lawson Tama.
When you purchase general admission tickets, you will have your palms stamped in case you need to leave the venues; when you come back, you can display the stamps once more.
The HCC Arena Multi-Purpose Hall, the Hockey Stadium at King George Six, and DC Park and Golf Club are the locations where it will be free.
