KULA FC play maker and uprising football player Kennedy Watemae told Raw Sports paper that his team, among other areas that needs improvement, they need to have confidence as a team.
The interview with Raw Sports comes as Kula FC suffered another defeat, this time round in the hands of Laugu United.
“Our boys’ needs improvement on three areas and that is footwork, fitness and confidence,’’ Watemae pointed out.
Kula FC United loses 4-1 to an experienced Laugu FC in the second weekend of the TSL.
Earlier in match week one, Kula FC suffered in the hands of Henderson Eels 8 goals to nil in their opening game.
“Our defeats are giving us lessons; we have to build our balance, fitness and have confidence to control pressures inside the field because most of us are new to TSL.
“They have the potentials but can easily get nervous and panic in the field. I have seen this in our game against Eels,’’ Watemae said.
Meanwhile, Kula FC Head coach Alick Collin said that their first games are a build up towards improving the team’s performance for an anticipated win in their next games.
“Actually in terms of game strategy and game pick, our first, second, third and fourth games are part of our build up towards winning a match in the competition.
“We had the second game and I have seen a lot of pressure and panic amongst my boys, you know they come from village setting and are new to this major league.
“They’ll build up from third game and fourth game and I hope they will do it, to win our fifth and remaining matches.
Mr Collin said his boys needs exposure as most of them are new to performed in the tsl competition.
“So the first game and second game is a build up to give confidence for the boys. It is just an exposure problem, but the game plan is there. We will focus on fitness as well.
”We also lack fitness, an area we will address in the game plans before our upcoming matches to match with our style of play, ‘Collin told Raw Sports.
“Actually we had a system, system to play and I am using these first games to build the boys confidence and with 100% confidence we can win our remaining matches,” Said Collin.
