THE West Guadalcanal Cup have began on 27th of December at Beaufort Bay primary school sport ground.
A good number of teams has already been registered and are prepared for the showdown.
The championship is expected to have begun on 27th and last matches to be played on 31st of December 2021 as part West Guadalcanal initiative to unite all football clubs around the constituency to participate and enjoy.
In an interview with a member of West Guadalcanal Football Association, Mr Dickson Puka, he stated that only nine teams around the West Guadalcanal Constituency are confirmed to participate in the championship.
He said that the West Guadalcanal Cup will boost the developments of football players within the west Guadalcanal to perform at expected level of soccer.
He said that with the support from the MP for West Guadalcanal, all sporting equipments were already in placed.
“All sporting equipments were already in placed with the support from the MP for West Guadalcanal Constituency, Thank you very much,” He said.
However the West Guadalcanal Football Association is calling on all registered Football clubs that will be participating in this championship to be at the venue early as much as possible before the kick-off times.
