FORMER rugby Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Nick Hatigeva has recently been elected as President of the Bellona Rugby Union Association (BRUA) following an election held at the province.
The Solomon Islands Rugby Union Federation (SIRUF) announced a press statement this week.
“As an affiliate of the Solomon Islands rugby, it’s great to see the Association has new elected Executive members in place to oversee the rugby strategy in the province,” SIRUF statement confirmed.
“Nick has vast experience during his time Solomon rugby attained with World rugby coach educator with acquaintance in Governance, Administration, Training & Education, Retention & Mass participation with Women’s rugby background.
The SIRUF statement continues that the new executive shows a diverse range of proficiency to share the excitement in moving BRUA forward with the good work carried out by the previous executive.
“The new President acknowledges and thanks to the previous President and executive for providing leadership and management for the association in the past years,” SIRUF stated.
“With the majority of the newly elected executive being the first time, BRUA plan of action been implemented for the remainder of this year 2021.
SIRUF concluded that as the governing body we look forward to working with newly elected executive members to achieve development and competition strategy outcomes for the province.
The new Bellona Rugby Union Association consist of;
- President – Nick Hatigeva
- Vice President – Jeffrey Matai
- Secretary – Sharon Tepai
- Treasurer – Walter Baiabe
