THE Waneagu United FC has welcomed the signing of the new coaching team in preparation for this year’s TSL league 2022/2022 last night.
Dr John Taniamae and the former President Wilson Orisi have facilitated the program at the Pacific casino last night.
Dr Taniamae in his remark on behalf of the club acknowledges the services of the former Waneagu United FC Head coach Mr Henry Koto and Steve Aumanu and their technical team in the last year 2021/2022 TSL season. Waneagu finishes 3rd in the last year’s TSL league and has set a history for Waneagu as a new kid on the block.
Six (6) players of Waneagu United FC were selected for the Solomon Islands Islands National football team representing the country recently in the world cup qualifying in Qatar last month and 4 of the 6 have signed their professional contract in Australia after their world cup qualifying in Qatar and now playing with leagues in Australia. the players are; Ali Mekawir , Micah Lealafa, Don Keana and Ian Lagwai Kalu.
