Solomon Islands National Futsal squad, The Kurukuru has played their first international friendly match at 4 am this morning (7p.m Polish Time).
The match which ended 2 goals to 1 in favor of the Polish Premier League Club, Futsal Brzeg was the first game for the Kurukuru side after 18 months without an official match.
The Polish tier-one side led 1-0 at the break before George Stevenson makes it 1-1 only for the polish lads to score another goal
Futsal Brzeg dominate the first half in terms of ball possession and trigger off the first goal and the Elliot Ragomo captained side had to dig deep to find an equalizer only to be cancelled again by a goal from Futsal Brzeg halfway through the second half.
The friendly match was important for the Kurukuru boys as they have been given 2 weeks of intense fitness and strength training on the court and in the gym.
Kurukuru team is expected to play another three friendly matches before heading off to Zagreb in Croatia for their build up competition, the Futsal Week Summer Cup 2021 before heading off to participate in the FIFA Futsal World-Cup 2021 in Lithuania.
