PARA powerlifter, George Kali has declared himself confidence in his early preparations ahead of this year’s final selection for the Solomon Islands team para-sports to compete at the 2023 Pacific Games in Honiara.
The 33-years-old from Malaita province said since he has developed a lot of interest in powerlifting, he is now developed positive signs in his scheduled training at the Solomon Islands Institute of Sports (SINIS) Complex state of art facility.
“So right now, I have to say that I am in the good hands of my coach, Lesley Ata, while concentrating on the right weight categories and system of training I could excel in my final selection for the Solomon Islands team para-sports to compete at the 2023 Pacific Games in Honiara,” Kali told RAW SPORTS.
He said now he is working hard to improve his dieting, something that has been a major challenge for him since taking up his scheduled training at SINIS.
“Now I am feeling that I am on the right track in terms of training and also I am working tirelessly around the clock to stay discipline in terms of balancing my dieting to a required physical standard to meet the competition level,” George Kali said.
RAW SPORTS understands that there are four male para-lifters undergoing high performance under the watchful eye of the Solomon Islands Para Powerlifting coach, Lesley Ata at the Solomon Islands Institute of Sports, east of Honiara.
