FORMER national long distance runner, Patrick Kam eyes to represent the country for the second time, as he recently made a comeback onto the training tracks at the King George VI.
Patrick, 24, had previously represented the country in the 5000m and 10,000m events at the 2019 Pacific Games in Apia, Samoa.
He told RAW SPORTS that a lot of personal efforts and sacrifices have been made over the past months towards his early training preparations, as he aims to be selected in this year’s final team for next year’s 2023 Pacific Games in Honiara.
“Now that the country has the right training venue and running tracks facility, I am confidence to make a major difference in my scheduled trainings in the coming weeks and months.
“For now, my aim is to get selected and be part of the Solomon Islands athletics team to represent the country at the next year’s 2023 Pacific Games in Honiara,” Patrick Kam said.
