Over 200 futsal players, from U-12 level through to U-20, took part in the first Solomon Islands Football Federation International Junior Futsal Cup in Honiara earlier this month.
Involving local teams as well as guest sides from Just Futsal Australia, the festival had a focus on fun and development, and was an opportunity for players to take the court against new opponents.
Solo Dove were too strong in the U-20 final, downing Nicholas College 4-1, while the other three grades saw thrilling finals which were decided by a single goal.
Lunga School won the U-16 category 2-1 over Solo Eagles, while Solo Eagles won the U-14 and U-12 categories, beating Solo Dove and Solo Herons respectively.
