The Savo and Russells Constituency Cup 2025 was kicked start on 15th December 2025 at Yandina, Russell Islands, Central Province with a colorful parade.
Participating team for both soccer and netball from all the Constituency made it able. A total of 44 teams for soccer and 16 teams for netball do came to take part in the tournament.
In his declaration remarks Member of Parliament for Savo Russells Constituency Hon. Oliver Salopuka said players will unite during the tournament despite difficulties and divisions encounter over the ages past. “We gather in the spirit of unity, being represent 5 wards that speak many languages and reflect the legends of sports. Beyond any differences, we are grounded in mutual respect, competing fiercely but believing one another, supporting and rooting for each other”.
Hon. Salopuka said players’ courage, resilience and humanity elimination is the pathway for the entire Constituency.
The seven a side competition for soccer see 22 games played and 7 games played for netball. Thousands of supporters and friends came witness the games.
Solomon Islands Football Federation (SIFF) and Solomon Islands Netball Association (SIANA) officials from Honiara do officiate the Games.
