Skul-Fut Academy under Henderson Eels Football Club has expressed satisfaction with their achievements so far as they prepare to conclude this year’s programs on 9 October, 2021.
This was according to the Academy proprietor, Hereni Hauporokeni Wakio in an interview.
“Since joining Skul-Fut Academy, the kids have had their taste of our academy football programs which they learned and achieved alot especially skills acquisition phases,” She said.
With the inclusion of BASI football, it has boosted the Under-17 and Under-15 kids.
“Our Under-19 boys have also have participated in the Under-19 League pre-season tournament and become champions. Winning that pre-Season tournament has boosted the kids to another level of learning,” Ms. Hauporokeni Wakio added.
She also highlighted that the inclusion of girls into the academy this year was also an achievement encouraging a way forward with regards to promoting gender equality.
“We have included a lot of girls this year, hence, promoting gender equality within the academy,” She said.
Ms. Hauporokeni Wakio said it is no easy job to develop the group of kids who comes from different backgrounds.
Meanwhile, the Academy proprietor confirmed that Skul-Fut Academy will kick off programmes again early February 2022.
“We are looking for another fresh start again February next year.”
