MANY sport events are coming up, and one of them Solomon Islands National Institute of Sport (SINIS) is also gearing up with its services to support sport federations in their preparations for is the Palau 2025 Pacific Mini Games.
The sports on offer for the 2025 Pacific Mini Games that SINIS will be assisting in their preparations are ‘Athletics, Archery, Swimming, Basketball 3×3, Beach and Indoor Volleyball, Judo, Canoe, Table Tennis, Triathlon, Baseball, Softball, Wrestling, Tennis and Weightlifting’.
SINIS Executive Director Aaron Alsop said to ensure preparations get underway with athletes and coaches of the sports confirmed for the Palau 2025 Pacific Mini Games, the High Performance Centre will reach out to key partners to align strategies to the goals for the performances of the teams.
“Having built a strong foundation in our High Performance system over the past few years, we see a great opportunity to leverage from all the momentum from the 2023 Pacific Games,” said Alsop.
“To ensure preparations get underway with the athletes and coaches of the sports confirmed for the Palau 2025 Pacific Mini Games, we will be reaching out to key partners including the National Olympic Committee of Solomon Islands [NOCSI] and the National Federations to align our strategies to the goals for the performances of the team. With the new benchmark and standards in place for what elite sport looks like in Solomon Islands, we believe that we can continue to upward trend for the country on the international sporting stage.”
The Palau 2025 Pacific Mini Games will be held on June 29 to July 9.
