LOCAL sprinter Luke Haga urged Solomon Islanders to show support for Solomon Islands Team Athletics by attending today’s athletics event at Honiara’s National Stadium.
The men’s and women’s decathlons, as well as the women’s and men’s 100-meter sprint ambulant events, will be featured in the first day of athletic competitions at Honiara’s National Stadium, which gets underway at 1pm.
Haga emphasized: “Message to my good people, my fellow countrymen and women, we need your support, with a little cheer of support, we can achieve great things.”
Medal hopeful Haga and his fellow athletes are preparing to bring honor to their nation. Haga will participate in this week’s XVII Pacific Games 2023 sprint competition in the 100- and 200-meter sprint events.
Haga is set to compete in the 100- and 200-meter sprint events at the XVII Pacific Games 2023.
Haga emphasized the significance of unity and the profound impact that even the smallest gesture of support can have on today’s athletics event.
“It is a call to action for all Solomon Islanders to rally behind our athletes and offer unwavering support as they aim to make our country proud on the home stage. Let us stand united, cheer for our athletes, and be the wind beneath their wings as they soar to new heights in this week’s athletic event.”
