The Solomon Islands Development Career Centre (DCC) has officially launched a new community sports initiative at DC Park, East Honiara, bringing together all 27 national sports federations in a united effort to promote sport, youth engagement, and healthy living.
The launch opened with a colourful parade from the Multi‑Purpose Hall to DC Park, followed by sports demonstrations, family entertainment, and raffle draws that kept the crowd energised throughout the morning.
The initiative aims to encourage children and young people to explore different sporting codes, build teamwork, and embrace active lifestyles. It also strengthens collaboration among national sports bodies, paving the way for more organised sporting opportunities for youth across the country.
Community members are invited to join the day‑long celebration, support local federations, and be part of the growing movement to develop sport in the Solomon Islands.
