SOLOMON Islands archer Georgianna Lepping has returned from Australia with more than just memories—she’s brought back the beginnings of a dream.
In an interview with RAW SPORTS, Lepping described her recent trip to Brisbane as “truly a blessing,” after receiving a bulk donation of archery equipment to help launch what will soon be the country’s first dedicated archery club in Honiara.
“It means the world to me. But this journey isn’t just about me; it’s about a shared dream,” she said. “Let’s be real—there’s no club without gear.”
Thanks to the generosity of Coach Jarryd from Rogue Archery and the Aspire Archery Club in Brisbane, Australia that dream is now within reach. Lepping praised the duo’s ongoing support, noting, “This incredible milestone wouldn’t have been possible without the unwavering support of Coach Jarryd… The generous donation is a game-changer for all aspiring archers here in Sols, where equipment and even access to a club is nearly impossible to come by.”
The donation includes bows, arrows, and other vital gear—essentials that have long been scarce in Solomon Islands. For many local enthusiasts, the lack of equipment has made archery inaccessible since 2023. But that’s about to change.

“102 Archery Club opening soon! Stay tuned,” Lepping said with pride.
Her connection to Coach Jarryd runs deep. He served as the Solomon Islands’ Technical Head Coach during the 2023 Pacific Games, conducting critical training camps in August and November that year. Lepping credits those sessions with helping her win her first international match in the archery compound category—a historic victory for Solomon Islands archery.
“I only started archery in 2022,” she said, “and with his support, I went on to win my first international match… with a humble score of 102.”

That number—102—now has special meaning. It’s not just a score; it’s a symbol of growth, grit, and a new chapter for Solomon Islands sport.
“Tagio tumas (thank you) Rogue Archery Coach Jarryd for making this possible. I’m excited to build this dream with you all and Aspire Archery Club and have my fellow Solomon Islanders finally have a go at archery,” she said.
